At Ishara in the Maasai Mara, we delivered sustainably sourced hardwood flooring and exterior decking designed to complement the lodge’s contemporary safari aesthetic while meeting the environmental demands of the Mara climate. The timber selection and finishing approach were carefully aligned with the lodge’s refined yet nature-rooted character, creating interiors and outdoor spaces that feel both luxurious and grounded in their setting.
We supplied and installed precision-milled, kiln-dried teak flooring for the interior spaces, profiling it for quiet performance and long-term dimensional stability. For the exterior verandas and decks, we crafted weather-resistant teak systems with concealed fixings and high-grip treads to enhance both safety and visual continuity. Every board was selected and finished to ensure durability against temperature shifts, seasonal rains, and constant use, delivering a seamless flow from indoor living areas to expansive views of the Mara landscape.
